This 750 MCM 4-conductor Priority-Plex® assembly with an integrated 3/0 Ground is a robust high-voltage feeder solution for 277/480V 3-phase, 4-wire systems. By factory-twisting the heavy-gauge phases (Brown, Orange, Yellow), the neutral (Gray), and a 3/0 AWG Green ground, this system provides a complete circuit in a single bundle, maximizing efficiency for industrial-scale installations.
At the 750 MCM scale, cables are notoriously difficult to handle due to their weight and bend radius. Priority-Plex® technology eliminates the need to set up five separate reels, which is a massive logistical advantage in tight electrical rooms. The 3/0 ground is sized to meet NEC requirements for this ampacity, providing a safe ground path while keeping the overall bundle diameter slightly smaller than a full-sized ground version.
Optimized Grounding: The 3/0 AWG Green ground is factory-integrated, ensuring a reliable low-impedance ground path while maintaining the most efficient bundle geometry for high-tension pulls.
480V Phase Identification: Permanent, factory-colored insulation (Brown, Orange, Yellow, Gray) provides instant phase identification for high-voltage systems, eliminating the labor and human error associated with field-taping.
Superior Pulling Efficiency: The twisted configuration significantly reduces the risk of "cable jamming" (where cables wedge together in a conduit bend), which is a common failure point for large parallel pulls.
Rugged XHHW-2 Insulation: The cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) jacket is rated for 90°C and provides superior moisture and chemical resistance, essential for industrial and underground environments.
