Designed for high-demand electrical systems, this Priority-Plex® twisted feeder cable provides a reliable and efficient solution for large-scale power distribution. By utilizing a factory-twisted configuration of two phase conductors and a dedicated neutral, this 2/0 AWG assembly eliminates the complexity of on-site paralleling and reel management, allowing for faster throughput and reduced physical strain during the pull.
This 3-conductor assembly (Black, Red, and White) is optimized for heavy residential and commercial service applications. The Priority-Plex® design ensures that the conductors stay tightly grouped, which significantly reduces the friction coefficient during conduit pulls and minimizes the overall installation footprint.
Priority-Plex® Design: The pre-twisted architecture prevents individual conductor separation, ensuring a uniform pull that protects the insulation integrity.
Phase-Specific Identification: Features distinct Black and Red phase conductors with a White neutral for immediate, code-compliant circuit identification.

This 2/0 AWG (pronounced "two-aught"), 3-conductor assembly is a heavy-duty feeder cable designed for high-amperage residential and commercial power distribution. It is most frequently used for 150A to 175A residential service entrances and main sub-panel feeds. The XHHW-2 rating ensures it can be installed in conduit in both wet and dry locations, making it ideal for underground service laterals or feeders in damp industrial environments.
Priority-Plex® is a specialized manufacturing process where the conductors are pre-twisted (cabled) together at the factory.
At the 2/0 gauge, aluminum offers an optimal balance of high ampacity and low cost compared to copper, which would be significantly heavier and more expensive for this capacity.
According to NEC Table 310.16, the ampacity for 2/0 Aluminum depends on the temperature rating of the equipment terminations:
⚠️ PRO TIP: Most modern main breakers and distribution panels are rated for 75°C. Therefore, in most commercial/industrial applications, this cable is treated as a 135 Amp feeder. However, for residential service entrance applications, NEC 310.12 may allow higher ratings (often up to 175A for a 200A service using the 83% rule) depending on the total load of the dwelling.
