Engineered for heavy-duty power distribution, this Priority-Plex® twisted feeder cable is designed to streamline complex wire pulls in residential and commercial environments. By pre-assembling two phase conductors and a dedicated neutral into a single twisted unit, it eliminates the labor-intensive process of managing multiple reels and manual spinning, ensuring a cleaner, faster installation.
This 3-conductor assembly (Black, Red, and White) provides a high-capacity solution for secondary service entries. The Priority-Plex® configuration keeps the conductors securely bundled without the added diameter or weight of a traditional jacketed cable, allowing for easier movement through tight spaces.
Priority-Plex® Design: The twisted configuration prevents conductor crossovers and tangling, facilitating a smooth, single-source pull.
Integrated Color Coding: Features a Black and Red phase conductor with a dedicated White neutral for rapid, error-free termination.
Superior XHHW-2 Insulation: Cross-linked polyethylene (XLP) provides excellent resistance to heat, moisture, and environmental stress.
Optimized Aluminum Alloy: Built with AA-8000 series aluminum to offer a lightweight, cost-effective alternative to copper with long-term reliability.

This 1 AWG, 3-conductor assembly is designed for high-capacity feeder applications. It is most commonly used for residential service entrances and commercial sub-panel feeds. Because it uses XHHW-2 conductors, it is exceptionally durable and rated for installation in conduit, both above ground and buried in wet locations.
Priority-Plex® is a value-added manufacturing feature where the three conductors are pre-twisted (cabled) together at the factory.
At the 1 AWG size, aluminum provides a significant cost saving over copper without sacrificing performance for feeder circuits.
According to NEC Table 310.16, the ampacity for 1 AWG Aluminum depends on the temperature rating of your lugs and equipment:
⚠️ PRO TIP: Most modern electrical panels use 75°C rated lugs. Therefore, for most code-compliant designs, you should treat this cable as a 100 Amp feeder.
This assembly follows the standard 120/240V or 120/208V color code:
Because these are XHHW-2 conductors, the colors are typically "impregnated" into the insulation or printed with highly visible longitudinal stripes to ensure easy identification at both ends of the run.
