SRML stands for Silicone Rubber Motor Lead wire. It is specifically designed for the harsh, high-vibration, and high-heat conditions found inside industrial motors and commercial heating appliances.
SRML wire is dual-rated for temperature performance. It carries a 150°C (302°F) rating for UL-certified applications and can withstand exceeding 200°C (392°F) in extreme industrial environments while retaining its insulation properties.
SRML is the "problem-solver" wire for any environment where high heat and constant motion meet. It is most commonly used for industrial motor leads, where it can withstand internal heat while remaining flexible. You’ll also find it in commercial kitchen equipment, industrial kilns, and high-intensity lighting.
The main difference is Temperature and Material. SRML is rated for 150°C-200°C and uses a soft silicone rubber insulation, making it very flexible. TGGT is rated for 250°C and uses Teflon and glass tapes, making it better for extreme oven heat but slightly less flexible than the rubbery SRML.
Our SRML features a high-temperature finish impregnated into the braid that specifically resists fraying and moisture. This ensures a clean strip and easy termination into heavy-duty motor lugs or terminal blocks.
Yes. The silicone rubber insulation is suitable for moisture, UV, and ozone exposure. Additionally, the fiberglass jacket is impregnated with a moisture-resistant compound to enhance durability in damp settings.
The ampacity of 8 AWG SRML High Temp Wire is 95 Amps.
