"The flexible choice for heavy-duty industrial power—engineered with premium silicone rubber and a protective glass braid for maximum reliability up to 150°C-200°C."

Why Professionals Choose SRML Motor Lead Wire

The 6 AWG SRML wire is designed for high-current environments where extreme heat and constant vibration are present. It is the primary choice for heavy industrial motor leads, transformer connections, and high-wattage power circuits. The silicone rubber insulation provides exceptional flexibility, while the outer fiberglass braid protects the core from mechanical abrasion and heat damage.

  • 150°C-200°C Heat Resistance: Rated for continuous use in extreme thermal environments from -60°C up to 150°C for UL applications, and capable of withstanding temperatures exceeding 200°C in specific industrial environments.

  • Extreme Flexibility: Featuring 133 individual strands of copper, this wire is designed to be snaked through tight housings and heavy-duty equipment without kinking or cracking.

  • Fiberglass Braid Protection: Features a heavy-duty glass braid treated with a high-temp finish impregnated with a moisture, heat, and flame-resistant compound.

  • Tinned Copper Conductor: Features a tin coating over the soft drawn stranded copper to prevent corrosion and ensure maximum conductivity.

SRML stands for Silicone Rubber Motor Lead wire. It is specifically designed for the harsh, high-vibration, and high-heat conditions found inside industrial motors and commercial heating appliances.

SRML wire is dual-rated for temperature performance. It carries a 150°C (302°F) rating for UL-certified applications and can withstand exceeding 200°C (392°F) in extreme industrial environments while retaining its insulation properties.

SRML is the "problem-solver" wire for any environment where high heat and constant motion meet. It is most commonly used for industrial motor leads, where it can withstand internal heat while remaining flexible. You’ll also find it in commercial kitchen equipment, industrial kilns, and high-intensity lighting.

The main difference is Temperature and Material. SRML is rated for 150°C-200°C and uses a soft silicone rubber insulation, making it very flexible. TGGT is rated for 250°C and uses Teflon and glass tapes, making it better for extreme oven heat but slightly less flexible than the rubbery SRML.

Our SRML features a high-temperature finish impregnated into the braid that specifically resists fraying and moisture. This ensures a clean strip and easy termination into heavy-duty motor lugs or terminal blocks.

6 AWG SRML High Temp Lead Wire carries an ampacity of 130 amps.
