This 700 MCM 4-conductor Priority-Plex® assembly with an integrated 2/0 Ground is a heavy-duty, high-voltage feeder solution for 277/480V 3-phase, 4-wire systems. By factory-twisting the phase conductors (Brown, Orange, Yellow), the neutral (Gray), and a 2/0 AWG Green ground, this cable provides a complete, code-compliant circuit in a single bundle, significantly reducing installation labor for large industrial applications.
Managing five individual large-gauge conductors is one of the most physically demanding tasks on an industrial job site. Priority-Plex® technology pre-twists the entire circuit into a uniform geometry. This ensures the 2/0 ground remains tucked within the bundle, preventing it from getting caught or "migrating" during a long conduit pull.
Optimized Grounding: The 2/0 AWG Green ground is sized to meet NEC requirements for standard overcurrent protection associated with 700 MCM aluminum, providing a safe, low-impedance ground path.
Streamlined Logistics: One reel contains the full circuit. This reduces the footprint in the electrical room and eliminates the need for multiple jack stands and specialized reel-spinning equipment.
480V Phase Identification: Factory-colored insulation (Brown, Orange, Yellow, Gray) provides permanent phase identification. This removes the labor of field-taping and helps prevent high-voltage wiring errors.
Rugged XHHW-2 Insulation: The cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) jacket is tougher than standard PVC, offering superior resistance to the physical stresses of heavy pulls and a 90°C rating in wet or dry locations.
