A 14/37 VNTC Tray Cable is engineered to transmit control power, motor starter loops, solenoid actuation, and localized signal circuits in commercial and industrial environments. Featuring 37 insulated 14 AWG conductors under a heavy-duty jacket, it provides a compact, flexible cabling solution for wiring equipment stations, sensors, and remote control devices in a single efficient pull.
Following the ICEA Method 1, Table E-2 standard, the 37 conductors inside this cable follow the industrial 36-color sequence through Brown/Yellow (36) and repeat beginning with Black (37). The full sequence is Black (1), Red (2), Blue (3), Orange (4), Yellow (5), Brown (6), Red/Black (7), Blue/Black (8), Orange/Black (9), Yellow/Black (10), Brown/Black (11), Black/Red (12), Blue/Red (13), Orange/Red (14), Yellow/Red (15), Brown/Red (16), Black/Blue (17), Red/Blue (18), Orange/Blue (19), Yellow/Blue (20), Brown/Blue (21), Black/Orange (22), Red/Orange (23), Blue/Orange (24), Yellow/Orange (25), Brown/Orange (26), Black/Yellow (27), Red/Yellow (28), Blue/Yellow (29), Yellow/Yellow (30), Brown/Yellow (31), Black/Brown (32), Red/Brown (33), Blue/Brown (34), Orange/Brown (35), Yellow/Brown (36), and Black (37).
Yes. For installations near VFDs, power drives, high-voltage lines, or heavy machinery where electromagnetic interference (EMI/RFI) is a concern, we offer a 14/37 Shielded VNTC Tray Cable featuring an overall shield. We also supply overall-shielded VNTC tray cables across various 14 AWG conductor counts—contact our team for custom cut lengths and factory reels.
Yes, absolutely. The dual-layer protection of the THHN/THWN-2 conductor insulation combined with the heavy-duty sunlight-resistant PVC jacket makes this cable fully approved for direct burial underground, as well as wet, dry, and outdoor installations.
"TC-ER" stands for Tray Cable - Exposed Run. Per the UL 1277 standard for Type TC-ER cable, this rating permits contractors to run the cable outside of protective cable trays in open air or joist pulls directly to machinery and control enclosures without transitioning into rigid conduit.
Yes. The black outer PVC jacket is explicitly rated as Sunlight Resistant per UL 1277, preventing the sheath from baking, cracking, or degrading under direct outdoor sunlight exposure.
