The Wittenberg 2-2-2-2 URD cable is a heavy-duty solution for secondary underground three-phase power distribution. Unlike configurations with a reduced neutral, the Wittenberg features four full-sized #2 AWG conductors. This makes it the ideal choice for applications with significant single-phase loads on a three-phase system, ensuring the neutral can safely handle the return current. By utilizing high-conductivity 1350-H19 aluminum and a heavy-duty, sunlight-resistant XLP insulation, it offers superior resistance to environmental degradation and moisture.

The key difference is the neutral wire size. Both cables have three #2 AWG phase conductors, but while the 2-2-2-4 has a reduced #4 AWG neutral, the 2-2-2-2 Wittenberg features a full #2 AWG neutral.
