The Davidson 3/0-3/0-3/0-3/0 URD cable is the preferred solution for secondary underground three-phase power distribution in high-demand 150-Amp to 200-Amp applications. Unlike "reduced neutral" cables, the Davidson features a full-size neutral, making it the superior choice for projects with significant unbalanced loads or specific utility requirements. By utilizing high-conductivity 1350-H19 aluminum and heavy-duty, sunlight-resistant XLP insulation, it offers maximum resistance to environmental degradation, moisture ingress, and thermal stress.

Aluminum URD is the industry standard for underground utility feeds because it is significantly more cost-effective and lighter than copper. At the 3/0 AWG size, aluminum provides the necessary ampacity for large residential and commercial feeds at a fraction of the cost.
You must use connectors rated for aluminum (marked AL9CU). Because aluminum forms an oxide layer, it is critical to wire-brush the conductors and apply a high-quality antioxidant joint compound to prevent overheating at the termination points.
